Father Antonios Kalligeris investigates the way we can achieve the human uplifting through the combination of love and freedom. Father Antonios Kalligeris is a Greek orthodox priest. He was born in Athens in 1964. He studied Theology at the University of Athens and at postgraduate level in the Department of Political and Social Anthropology of the Panteion University, as well as in the Department of Theology of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he received a degree in Pastoral Science Ethics and Sociology. He was the director of the Youth Office of the Archdiocese of Athens. Today he runs the Pastoral Office of the Archbishopric for Marriage and Family Affairs. At the same time, he serves as a theologist at a public school in Athens and as a priest in Agia Filothei. He is married and father of 6 children. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
